As an important means of handling goods, cranes can improve the handling efficiency and are therefore the best choice for production, operation and container transport. Then, how to check the cranes in their daily use?
Regular item inspection should be performed during use of the cranes and the check items include: 1) all safety devices; 2) leakage and lubrication of lines, pump valves, containers and hydraulic and pneumatic components; 3) lifting hooks, hook nuts and locking devices; 4) wear of parts of the brake; the braking time of the lifting mechanism should be no more than 2 s and that of the running mechanism no more than 8 s; 5) wear, deformation and elongation of the steel rope and looseness of steel rope clamp; 6) bundling and lifting slings and other auxiliary tools; 7) wear and damages of cables, and electric leakage of the equipment, and 8) connecting bolts of each component which require prompt inspection every 100 h of use.
In addition to regular inspection items, a major overhaul is required every year and the check items include: 1) deformation, cracks and corrosion of the steel structure, as well as the connection of weld joints, rivets and bolts; 2) wear, cracks and deformation of the parts; 3) reliability and accuracy of indicating devices, and 4) power system and controller.
Tips: Equipment inspection requires the presence of a supervisor to instruct the operator during no-load operation or short-term heavy-load inspection. If maintenance or repair is required, turn off the main power, and lock it out or set up a repair warning sign.
