The price of gantry cranes is a major concern when users buy gantry cranes. The price offered by gantry crane manufacturers takes into account many factors. In general, the factors having great impact on the price include:

1. Lifting capacity. The lifting capacity of a gantry crane directly determines the structure, accessories, type of girder and other aspects of the overall gantry crane and it is the most important factor. For example, gantry cranes with a low lifting capacity will adopt a truss or honeycombed girder structure and those with a high lifting capacity generally use box-type girders. The winch, steel rope and other mechanisms and accessories are also directly affected by the lifting capacity.

  2. Height. The higher the gantry crane is, the greater span of outriggers is required and the more steel is used.

3. Span. It has a big influence on the price of gantry cranes. As the span of gantry cranes increases, higher bridge girder strength is required for controlling deflection of the bridge girder. Besides, the required strength rises linearly as the span increases.

4. Classification group. The classification group is affected by such factors as work intensity and working environment. For example, gantry cranes (girder handling cranes) used in girder fabrication yards have a low operating frequency and generally belong to A3 group. Gantry cranes of different classification groups vary greatly in price.

5. Price of accessories. The motors, electrical appliances and other accessories are generally purchased by the manufacturer from third parties. The gantry crane price varies greatly if the prices of accessories show great fluctuations or the user has special requirements for the accessories.

6. Price of raw materials. Gantry cranes are steel plates welded and assembled and the prices of steel and other raw materials have great influences.
